Questions About Our Pergolas
A louvered pergola features adjustable roof slats that allow you to control the amount of sunlight and airflow entering your space, making it usable in a wider range of weather conditions. A traditional open-roof pergola offers a fixed lattice or beam structure that provides partial shade and a classic aesthetic. The right choice depends on how much weather protection you want and the overall look you are creating for your outdoor space.
The pergolas in our collection are built with materials selected for outdoor durability — including powder-coated aluminum frames, galvanized steel components, and naturally weather-resistant cedar wood. Each structure is designed to withstand the demands of outdoor exposure across seasons. We recommend reviewing the specific wind and load ratings noted in each product's details to ensure the right fit for your local climate.
Most of our pergolas are designed for homeowner assembly using standard tools and the hardware and instructions included with each unit. The assembly process, complexity, and recommended number of people vary by structure size and style, so we encourage you to review the assembly details on each product page before purchasing. Having a second person on hand during installation is generally recommended for larger structures.
We offer free shipping on most orders within the Continental U.S. (excludes AK/HI). If you need to make a return, our 30-Day Return Policy gives you time to ensure your pergola is the right fit for your space. Please refer to our Return Policy page for full details on the return process and eligibility.
About Our Pergolas
A pergola is one of the most transformative additions a homeowner can make to an outdoor space. More than a simple shade structure, a well-chosen pergola defines an area of your yard with architectural intention — creating a sense of room, enclosure, and purpose that an open patio alone cannot achieve. Whether positioned over a dining area, a lounge setting, or a garden path, a pergola signals that the space beneath it is meant to be lived in. When choosing a pergola, material and roof style are the two most meaningful decisions. Aluminum and galvanized steel frames offer low-maintenance durability and resistance to rust and weathering. Cedar and other natural woods bring warmth, character, and a timeless aesthetic that ages gracefully outdoors. Louvered roofs offer adjustable shade and improved weather protection, while open-beam and lattice designs provide a more traditional, airy feel. Consider your climate, the size of the space you are working with, and how the structure will integrate with your existing outdoor furniture and landscaping. A pergola chosen thoughtfully becomes a centerpiece — your favorite place to be, morning through evening.
